MISER - Extensions

The following optional MISER extensions may be purchased to complement the basic software package.

Source Tracker

• Analyses the routing of sources and identifies the resultant water composition at every node
• Takes account of the mixing effect of reservoir storage
• Can be used in water quality analysis for tracking conservative substances

Probabilistic Inflow Sequence Generation

• For running models against synthetic inflow data that have formal probabilistic significance
• Fits statistical models to historical inflow data: uses Johnson transforms
• User-specified return period

• For optimising at half-hourly and hourly timesteps
• Incorporates sub-daily licences and profiles, including derived profiles comprising seasonal, weekly and diurnal components
• Used for consequence modelling of outages for example
• Defines duties by numbers of pumps and profiled operating point flow/power relationships

Tariffs and Operating Points

• For entering tariff unit cost information and associated pump data
• Supports multiple p/kWh bands, such as in seasonal time of day tariffs
• Defines duties by numbers of pumps and profiled operating point flow/power relationships
• Used in derivation of optimal reservoir profiles for level-controlled pumps and modelling non-linear cost/flow relationships

The last two extensions above can be purchased as part upgrades of MISER towards MISER-PS.
