MISER is used to assess the consequences of supply failure in the system and to identify the optimal response to failures.
In addition to the consequences of failure in terms of interruptions, the resultant quality of water can be analysed in MISER. The Source Tracker identifies the percentage of each source entering demand nodes, taking into account reservoir mixing, and can be used to track conservative substances.
